Holly’s Day Lotion

This Raspberry Seed Oil Lotion contains no harmful SPF ingredients.  I made this Raspberry Seed Oil Lotion for my friend Holly.  She is allergic to all SPF chemicals and cannot use any on her skin.   Holly’s Day Lotion contains natural oils and extracts that also have sunscreen properties.  Also added is extra anti-aging and antioxidant ingredients to boost skin repair from sun damage.

Raspberry Seed Oil
Red Raspberry Seed Oil is known to have a natural SPF.   According to research, red raspberry seed oil can absorb UVB and UVC sun rays. But the oil offers limited protection from UVA.  As a great source of antioxidants and vitamins A and E, red raspberry seed oil can slow the aging process, stimulate collagen production, and help your skin appear more youthful and vibrant.

Camu Camu Extract
Camu Camu is a shrub that’s native to the Amazonian rainforest. Camu-camu is said to contain approximately 30 times more vitamin C than oranges. Vitamin C is of course a potent antioxidant which may protect our skin from extrinsic reactive oxygen species that contribute to aging. Topical applications of vitamin C may enhance collagen production that may help combat the damaging effects the sun has on collagen.

Carrot Seed Oil
Carrot Oil can help protect skin from free-radical damage as well as environmental damage. It is packed with Vitamin A and acts as a potent antioxidant in skincare. This means that it can also help prevent premature aging. Carrot Seed Oil can also be found in many sun care products because it can also protect skin from harmful UV damage!

Walnut Extract
Walnut Extract is an aqueous extract produced from the leaves of Juglans nigra. Studies have indicated that Juglone is capable of increasing SPF. This finding is particularly of interest as walnut extracts have shown poor UV absorbance relative to its efficacy, indicating its potential to function as an anti-irritant.  Additionally, walnut leaf extract is rich in various antioxidants like flavonoids, carotenoids and tannins and has been shown to provide anti-microbial properties. 

Sea Buckthorn Oil – has been used for thousands of years as a natural remedy for various ailments. It’s rich in unsaturated fat, antioxidants, phytosterols, carotenoids, and vitamins E and K — all of which function together to protect your skin’s integrity and promote its renewal.
